DOUG CHANCE - HEAD COACH

Doug Chance, Head Coach of the two time (2016 & 2017)  NJCAA National Champion Butler Grizzlies heads the line up of coaches who will be giving instruction.  In his 14 year career at Butler, Doug has amassed a record of 617-154 including 9 trips to the College World Series.  He has mentored over 50 young ladies who have gone on to play Division I softball including schools in the Big 12, SEC, Big 10, and ACC.  He has coached both a National Player of the Year and National Pitcher of the year, highlighting his ability to cultivate talent and produce success.

Chance has led Butler to 11 Jayhawk West titles, nine Region VI titles, five top-10 finishes, a 2013 Final Four finish in the NJCAA World Series and 10 years in the top 16 of the national rankings, including being ranked No. 1 in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2018.

In his 14 seasons at Butler, Chance has coached 24 All-Americans (both NJCAA and NFCA), 115 Jayhawk Conference selections and received the KJCCC Coach of the Year 10 times.

Chance won his 600th game on April 15, 2018 vs. Dodge City.
